
I, Thomas H. Prather, of the Township of Hickory, County of Venango, & State of Pennsylvania, do make & publish this my last will & testment [sic] hereby revoking & making void all former wills by me at any time heretofore made & first to such Real Estate as I own & posess [sic] I do dispose of as follows. To my youngest son Henry D. Prather I give & bequeath one hundred acres land lying in Situate on East Hickory being the same more or less & Bounded on the northEast By the old Boundrys of Peters & others (commonly known as the upper Place).
To my younges [sic] Daughter Martha F. Prather I give & bequeath five acres (5) of land Situate on the Allegheny River and ajoining & running paralel with Land of John Cary for twenty perches back from the river bank from thence a South Easterly course a long the Said line a Suficient distance So as to enclose five acres in the Boundry.
To my Daughter Nancy Louisa I give & bequeath five acres (5) Begining at the River & Running paralel with the aforesaid Boundry to the back line & from thence along the said line a suficient distance to Enclose five acres.
To my daughter Mazilia E. Cary I give & bequeath five acres (5) on the river begining at the Bank of the river and Runing paralel with the line of the aforesaid Bequests to the Back line and from thence along the said line a Sufficient distance So as to enclose five acres.
To my daughter Caroline I give & bequeath five acres (5) land Situate on the River Begining on the Bank of the river and running paralel with the line of the aforesaid Bequests to the back line & from thence along the said line a Sufficient distance So that the Said Boundy will Enclose five acres or the Remaining part of the Total amt contained in the original Survey.
To my daughter Mary Comstock I give & bequeath the undivided half of my right Title intrest & claims in and unto one (1) oil claim (or Lease containing two (2) acres more or less lying & being Located in differant localities which will more fully appear by refference to the said articles of agreement.
To Emoline Broun I give & bequeath three acres of land Situate on the Allegheny River at a Hickory corner and from thence along the original line of Peters, a South Eastern course to the Back line & from thence along the back line a Sufficient distance to Enclose there acres And from thence back to the River bank & from thence along the river bank to the place of begining but not to include in the Said Boundry any of the land Leased to Comstock & Broun by a former article of an agreement for oil purposes. Also the undivided half of all my right title interest & claim in and unto two (2) acres land, Leased for oil purposes Laying in different localities whch will be fully Shown by refference to the Articles of an agreement with Comstock & Brown. Said three acres to be taken of the Southern end of a peice or parcel of land (Know as the Lower place).
To my Son John Prather I give & Bequeath two dollars.
To my Son Paleg Prather I give & bequeath two dollars to be paid them by my Executor at the Expireation of one year after my decease.
To my Daughter Almyra J. Prather I give & Bequeath the remaining part of the Lower Place also the undivided half of the homeStead property. Begining at the centre of the Line on the River Bank and from thence Back to the pine cover & to run paralel with the North & South lines & My daughter Almyra J. Prather to have the North undivided half Subject to the Leases given by me at a previous date. Also the undivided half (1/2) of the South part of a Timber lot containing one hundred & thirty acres (130) more or less with the right & privilege of Halling or having a feaseable location for a Road through the South part of the homestead property.
To my beloved Wife Susanah I give & bequeath the undivided one half of the Homestead property it Being the South half or part to be divided as heretofore mensioned. Also the undivided half (1/2) of a Timber Tract containing one hundred & thirty acres (130) Subject to the right of way heretofore discribed Also I do appoint her my lawful Executor and direct that after the payment of the debts out of the proceeds of the personal property the Balance of the proceeds shall be divided. My Beloved wife Susanna returning two thirds of the funds and paying one third (1/3) over to my daughter Almyra Jane Prather.
