Last Will and Testament of Henry Myers

In the name of God Amen. I Henry Myers of the Township of Beaver, County of Clarion and State of Pennsylvania being feeble in health but of sound mind and memory, being mindful of my mortality do make and declare my last will and testament revoking all former wills by me made.

First and princaplaly [sic] I Recomend my imortal [sic] spirit to god who gave it in hope of a joyful Resorection of my body to the Earth when it shall please god to seperate my soul and body to be buried decently at the discretion of my Executors and according to the Rites of the M. E. Church and as to my worldly aeffects where with it has pleased God to bless me with I give and dispose thereof as follows after payment of all my just debts funeral expenses and charges of proving this my will.

1st I give and bequeath to my bloved [sic] wife Nancy Myers all my property Real personal and mixed to have and Control during her natural lifetime after the death of my wife

2nd I give and bequeath and devise to my son Joseph Myers that portion of my farm lying east of the Rail Road with saw & grist mill thereon and this my will shall give to him a good and sufficient title for the above mentioned property.

3rd I give bequeath and devise to my son G. L. Myers that portion of my farm lying west of the Rail Road and this will shall give to my son G. L. Myers a good and sufficient title to the above mentioned land.

4th I give and bequeath to my son Solomon Myers Twenty five dollars.

2nd [sic] I give and bequeath to my daughter Margaret E. Knapbenbarger Twenty five dollars

and lastly I Constitute and appoint John C. Shields of Licking Township and G. L. Myers of Beaver Township my Executors of this my will and testament imposing full Confidence in them November third 1885

Before me, S. J. Burgoon, Register for the Probate of Wills and granting Letters of Administration in and for the county of Clarion, personally came Isaac Morig & George C. Best the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing Will, who being duly sworn according to law, do say, that they were present and saw and heard Henry Myers, deceased, the Testator therein named, sign, seal, publish, pronounce and declare the foregoing instrument of writing as and for his Last Will and Testament, and at the time of so doing he was of sound mind, memory and understanding, to the best of their knowledge and belief.

We do swear that as Executors of the foregoing Last Will and Testament of Henry Myers, deceased, I will well and truly administer the goods and chattels, rights and credits of said deceased, according to law, and diligently and faithfully regard, and well and truly comply with the provisions of the law relating to collateral inheritances.
