
In the Name of God Amen. the eighteenth day of October in the year of Our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty one. I Aaron Moore of Monongalia County and State of Virginia being of perfect & sound mind thanks to Almighty God for the same & knowing that it is appointed for all men once to Die Do make and ordain this my last will and Testament that is to say. principally, and first of all, I give & Recommend my soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it and for my body I recommend it to the earth to be buried in a Christian like and decent manner. at the discretion of my Executors nothing doubting but at the general Resurrection I shall Receive the same again by the mighty power of God and as touching such worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this life. I give Devise and Dispose of the same in the manner and form following --- Imprimis It is my will and I do ordain that in the first place all my just debts & funeral charges be paid and satisfied
--- Item I give and Bequeath unto my well beloved Daughters Elizabeth and Sarah the sum of five shillings sterling each
--- Item I give and Bequeath unto my three sons Hosia Aaron & Henry them and their heirs forever all my Lands which I now possess. that is to say to my Eldest son Hosia all that part of my tract of land begining at a marked white oak on the line now in possession of Benjamin Dean thence with a strait line to a marked Sycamore on the spring branch. thence up & with the aid Spring Branch to a marked Black Walnut in the fork thence up & with the left on South fork to a marked hickory. thence with a strait line to a white oak on the line between me & John Swearingen near the corner of said Swearingens Field. thence with the original lines to the beginning being the Southern part of my Land. To my second son Aaron all that part of my said tract lying with of the following line viz. Beginning at a marked Gum and white oak on a line between me & Alexander Wade near the Upper Corner of the said Wades Field. thence with a strait line to the Sycomore Tree above mentioned on the Spring Branch. and to my youngest son Henry all the rest of the said tract of Land lying between the aforesaid two parts & being my Homestead place to have and To hold. the said land as above branched to them the said Hosia Aaron and Henry them their heirs and Assigns forever. and to have and take possession of the same when they shall arrive at the age of twenty one years
--- Item I give and Bequeath unto my Youngest Daughter Nancy a Negro wench named Priss at the marriage or Death of my wife Mary
Item I give & bequeath unto my truly and well-beloved wife Mary all & singular my moveable or personal estate during her widowhood and at her marriage or Death the whole to be equally divided between my Daughters Abigail Ruhamah Eloner Martha & Nancy. Except the third part during her life I likewise hereby appoint my said wife Mary my whole and Sole Executrix of this my Last will and Testament Ratifying and Confirming this and no other to be my last will and Testament signed and sealed this Day & year first above written.

The day of October Anno Domini 1785 before me the Subscriber Register for
the probate of wills and granting of Letters of Administration in and for
said County personally came two of the subscribing witnesses to the
foregoing will and on their Solemn Oaths did declare and say that they saw
the Testator sign and seal the foregoing writing as and for his Last will
and Testament that at the time thereof he was in his right mind that they
know of no undue influence used & that they know of no later will by
him made - witness my hand same day
